CHALLENGE:
To design a cover for a new series by Penguin Books titled “Famous Couples”. This design should represent the couple through symbolic imagery related to their character and the nature of their relationship.
SOLUTION:
This series focuses on the famous couple, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. This cover conveys the couple's intense celebrity relationship by using a fiery sun to represent Lennon and a delicate snowflake for Ono. The logos were made by hand using soft pastels for the sun, and paper that was folded and cut for the snowflake. The red and white colors tie into the different personalities of each individual.
